Acerca del evento
Safe Bars Inc. is a national nonprofit organization that helps alcohol-serving spaces create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for their patrons and staff. Our innovative programming provides the foundation and catalyst for necessary change in the hospitality and nightlife industries.
De-escalation training focuses on de-escalation, boundary setting, and assertive communication for hospitality industry staff. This training was born out of the pandemic, when hospitality professionals experienced significantly higher rates of mistreatment and harassment from patrons. Hospitality and tipped wage workers have a lot to navigate, and our De-escalation training will give your team the skills to deal with escalated guests, giving them a greater sense of safety and confidence.
In this training, you’ll learn:
- Why to choose de-escalation
- How to recognize a stress response
- 5 steps to effectively de-escalate
- Active listening skills
- The assertive alternative
- Organizational strategies for safety
- And more!
This training is 2.5 hours long, trauma-informed, target-centered, evidence-based, experiential, and participatory. The training is live and will not be recorded.
